Friday 12th September - walks ****** – Felixstowe and Waldringfield – sunny periods then heavy showers.

Walk 1 – Sunrise Felixstowe prom.

Mag has been doing a sunrise walk for over a week now and I joined her once again today heading down to Felixstowe prom just after 6. We walked to just short of The Fludyers, it was a tad chilly today, definitely a feel of Autumn and it was fairly quiet too, just a few dog walkers and the odd swimmer! I got a few nice pics to send to the TV weather, of the sun rising. Things did warm up as the sun came up and I managed to do my exercises in the back garden, finishing just in time for Maeva’s arrival, a little quiet to start with but she soon warmed up:)

Walk 2 – Waldringfield with Maeva.

With heavy rain showers once again forecast for the afternoon I quickly packed a picnic and we drove over to park next to Waldringfield church. We were going to have lunch down by the river but Maeva loves having a picnic in the van so we had it in the little carpark:) We then loaded the buggy with our flask and chocolate bars and walked down to the Deben with some top clouds and a good breeze blowing. Luckily we found a seat near the sailing club with the wind on our backs, really pleasant it was too! Again it was quiet, a few yachts on the water, a paddle boarder and a lone windsurfer over by the far bank who was not going very well! We threw a few stones in and Maeva was not keen and see did not want to paddle in her lovely wellies before returning to the van as the first spots of rain arrived! Maeva quickly fell asleep on the return to Felixstowe as some heavy rain fell, I dropped Mag off at home to get the washing in while I drove down to The Fludyers to look at the sea, it did not look very inviting, it was choppy, the tide was high with some good waves rolling in!
I sent some nice pics in to the TV today which were not used but was surprised to get a pic I took of the big waves at Felixstowe on BBC’s Look East :)
